Patricia Jensen

Back in late 1988, my friend Donaree gave me a call for help. She was starting up a Star Trek writers’ group called Starships of The Third Fleet. She wanted me to do a piece of space artwork for background of the club’s membership cards.

I enjoy painting landscapes, animals, flowers and "far out places". Space was way far out for me. I’d never done anything like it before. But, I was up for the challenge and decided to give it a try. The first painting didn’t work. Neither did the second. The third try looked promising so I threw it in the back of my car, wet paint and all, and headed to Donaree’s place.

All I can say is she loved it. Bingo! My first piece of space art was a success. You might know since SS3F is in the Third Fleet it took three tries.

I have to admit that it was over for me. I went back to my landscapes, flowers and animals. Since then I have improved a lot in my painting skills.

Here is a little about me:

I was born and raised in the Pacific North West.

I discovered at a young age that art was my passion however was never encouraged to follow my dreams.

I was encouraged by a friend to take a few lessons when I lived in San Diego County, California and found that dreams can come true.

Right now I enjoy painting animal art. I have a darling puppy, Chickie, that I’m trying to put to canvas. That is if I can get her to pose. LOL In fact I may do a piece of art of Donaree’s Jack Russell, Tiffany.

I sign all of my art work P.J.

You’ll find a copy of the space art, in color, and a SS3F membership card with the art in the background below.
