Commanding Officer’s Quarters
The Commanding Officer’s quarters, or Suite, is
designed to reflect the stature of the senior officer aboard a major
fleet unit. The Suite is composed of three majors sections: a briefing
room, living/entertaining area, and sleeping/sanitary facilities.
The briefing room contains a conference table with
places for the Commanding Officer, the First Officer and all department
heads. A food processor is
available if the briefing room is used for formal dining. Two
viewscreens are programmable from controls located by each chair. A
small head is available for use.
A large living/entertaining area separates the
briefing room from sleeping/sanitary facilities. A number of chairs and
sofas provide for the comfort of guests and are arranged to facilitate
pleasant conversation, A fountain and several planters contribute to the
relaxed atmosphere.
The sleeping area also has a private computer alcove
and library for research or pleasure. A raised spa, complete with a
small food processor, is reached from the sleeping quarters via steps.
Other amenities include a large, walk-in closet, and a Jacuzzi tub with
a sonic/water-selectable shower,
All exterior doors, with the exception of the main
corridor entrance to the briefing room, are voice-keyed to respond only
to the Commanding Officer’s voice, or other designated individuals. |
